For the past three years, Horsham West and Haven Primary School has adopted a
One-to-One Netbook Program. This program is aimed at the years 4-6 at both campuses.
They have been integrated in the classroom curriculum, advancing their technology
skills while continuing to build their literacy and numeracy skills. While the
netbook program is not cumpulsory, it is recommended by students and teachers
as it gives students an edge in their work and the students love them.
Horsham West Campus contains a fully equipped computer lab, housing 30 new desktop
computers. These computers have the latest software to allow the students the best
chance to stay up-to-date in a technological world that keeps growing and expanding.
At Horsham West and Haven Primary School, we are fully equipped with the Smart Board
technology. As of 2011, every classroom has a Smart Board and there are also two wall
mounted Smart Boards in communal areas for combined class learning.
In late 2011, both the Horsham West campus and the Haven campus were given Polycom
Web Conferencing equipment as part of a state wide rollout from the Government to
connect schools together. We have begun to connect our campuses together and to
connect to other schools in Victoria.
