The German program is a new addition to the specialist program, beginning

in 2011 focused at the year 5 and 6 students. Due to it's great success, the

program has be expanded to span from year 1 to year 6. The program runs for

12 months and consists of one 45 minute session per week.

The German program aims to give students an understanding of the mechanics

of the german language. The program focuses on building vocabulary knowledge

and understanding basic grammatical differences from the English language.

Learning a second language has many benefits for students. These include

personal, cognitive, academic and societal benefits.

Learning a second language in primary school also gives your child an edge

if they continue to learn throughout their life.
